CREDIT card parking meters are being installed in a Victorian regional city in a bid to clamp down on ticket cheats.

Geelong council will introduce more than 70 credit card-friendly metres over the next two years, and have already installed 10.
The machines also allow motorists to pay with cash.
Councillor John Mitchell told the Geelong Advertiser the machines will mean greater revenue from on and off-street parking.
But he said fewer motorists will get fines because of the added credit card option.
"They are a fantastic idea and there is no doubt they will help with the perceived parking problems we have," Cr Mitchell said.
"This makes it much more flexible to use metered parking.
"It's just progress, isn't it, but when these sorts of things are available we have to use them.''
Each machine cost ratepayers $7610.
Figures from the City of Greater Geelong earned $7.7 million in parking fines last year.
